When Ford introduced the 2022 F-150 Lightning in May, it started taking reservations for the first-ever electric F-150. It didn't take long for more than 100,000 people to put their names down for one of the most important vehicles in the company's history. 2022 Ford F-150 Pro Trim Level
Priced from $39,974*, the Lightning Pro is a great option if you're looking for a truck for your contracting business or you just want a budget-friendly, battery-powered workhorse. It can help out at both job and camp sites with its spacious power-operated front trunk (aka Mega Power Frunk) and 2.4-kW Pro Power Onboard generator, which comes with a total of eight 120-volt outlets spread throughout the Lightning's 14.1-cubic-foot frunk, SuperCrew cab and 5.5-foot bed. A 9.6-kW version of the Pro Power Onboard system with 10 120-volt outlets and a bed-mounted 240-volt outlet is available to supply even more power for tools and toys.
Getting to your destination won't be a problem, thanks to the Lightning Pro's 230 miles of potential driving range and SYNC 4 infotainment system with standard navigation and 12-inch touchscreen. The onboard Wi-Fi hotspot allows everyone to enjoy the content of their choice on up to 10 devices. And don't worry about anyone spilling their drink along the way because the seats are covered in easy-to-clean vinyl.

2022 Ford F-150 XLT Trim Level
Stepping up to the $52,974* Lightning XLT gets you more standard convenience and comfort features. Going for a swim at the beach and don't want to worry about your keys? Just lock them in the Lightning and punch in your passcode on the SecuriCode keyless entry keypad when you get back. But make sure your clothes are dry before you use the extended running boards to hop inside because the XLT has cloth front buckets with 8-way power adjustability for the driver's seat.
The XLT's full-width accent lighting above its Gray Ion Satin Metallic Grille makes it easy to spot in any parking lot. And it's easy for you to see vehicles and people near the Lightning XLT because it's equipped with a 360-degree camera package. Just don't be surprised if you see other drivers mouthing the words, "Is that the electric F-150?"

2022 Ford F-150 Lariat Trim Level
Ford hasn't officially released pricing on this next level in the F-150 Lightning model hierarchy, but whatever its MSRP turns out to be, it'll buy you a truck that's as ready for work as it is for the weekend. Its power up/down tailgate with signature lighting gives you easy access to the LED-lit bed and the 240-volt outlet for the standard 9.6-kWh Pro Power Onboard generator. With some help from its Zone Lighting setup, the Lightning Lariat is ready to keep going after the sun goes down.
When it's time to unwind, you can get comfortable in the Lightning Lariat's heated and ventilated leather front seats no matter how the weather is outside. Pull up your favorite tunes on the SYNC 4A infotainment system's 15.5-inch touchscreen and enjoy the sound from the B&O audio system from Bang & Olufsen. You can take even more comfort in the fact that not only does the Lightning Lariat come with the protection of the Ford Co-Pilot 360 2.0 suite of features, it also has all of the tech in the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 bundle, including Lane Centering and Evasive Steering Assist.

2022 Ford F-150 Platinum Trim Level
Judging by how Ford worded things about how to reserve a Lightning on its website, it seems the top-of-the-line Platinum trim will have an MSRP of "around $90,474."* For that kind of money, you get a lot of features that are optional on other trim levels as standard equipment - and some that are only offered on the Platinum. It's dressed in a Vador Black tinted chrome grille and a distinctive set of two-tone 22-inch wheels. You can literally feel the difference between the Platinum and the other Lightning trim levels once you get inside. Hop into one of the Nirvana leather front seats and activate one of the massage modes. You can hear the difference, too. Just crank up the volume on the 18-speaker B&O Unleashed sound system.
The ultimate Lightning one-ups the generously equipped Lariat by adding the third and final driver assistance and safety package the Blue Oval offers: Ford CoPilot360 Active 2.0. By far, its most standout feature is BlueCruise, which allows you to travel down more than 100,000 miles of compatible highways in the U.S. and Canada without needing to keep your hands on the wheel. You can cover more miles between charges because the Platinum is the only Lightning model that comes exclusively with the extended-range battery pack, which gives it a total potential cruising distance of 300 miles.
The Lightning Platinum even makes hauling and towing a more luxurious experience.
